Job Description:	Our client is a Joint venture with two premier Organizations together developing new options for Bio-fuels. This opportunity is an opportunistic postion that not only involves an excellent engineering responsibility, but a career opportunity as well. This is a very visible position with outstanding upward mobility. Job summary To research, develop, design, and/or test a wide range of machinery, equipment and mechanical systems - as standard products, customized standard products and new innovative internally designed products for the development of new Bio-Fuels. This could be for our proprietary equipment or in conjunction with vendors for supplied equipment to any point along the company's value chain. To develop routine maintenance requirements for the machinery developed as well as leading the development of a general computerized maintenance plan for Licensees of the company's technology. Job functions. 1. Evaluate equipment and components for industrial application and modifying design as necessary to suit system needs. i.e. a. Pretreater mechanical seals and valves b. Conveyors, drag chains and other solids handling equipment c. Evaluate new concepts proposed by R&D (e.g. new pretreater) 2. Develop and test energy efficient size reduction equipment/systems to preprocess biomass upstream of pretreatment (corn cob, switchgrass, sorghum) 3. Lead effort to understand feedstock densification (e.g. pelletizing, briquetting) 4. Assist DDCE Feedstock team by providing input on a. farm implement equipment suppliers for harvesting/gathering/baling b. methods of transport (trucks, rail, barge) c. methods of storing 5. Create customized computerized maintenance management program for company customers. Requirements BSME 10 years minimum industrial experience preferably in the following areas; Mechanical design/development of materials handling/processing equipment Evaluation, testing, maintenance or operation of the above types of equipment Leadership role in any of the above areas.
