Job Description:	RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepares complete take-off and pricing for assigned disciplines of work. Contacts prospective subcontractors and participates in evaluation of their qualifications. Participates in putting final bid together on bid day. Attends pre-bid conferences as requested. Prepares portion of subcontracts, purchase agreements and large purchase orders. Participates in purchasing major subcontracts and material. When requested, aids in preparing preliminary progress schedules. Discusses portions of estimates, pricing and awarding of subcontracts with the Director of Estimating and Sales and the Senior Estimators. Maintains contact with subcontractors and vendors capable of serving on company projects. Requirements REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 5 years commercial estimating experience on large commercial construction projects in excess of $20M. Previous experience estimating on federal government projects required. High School diploma or GED. Strong written and verbal communication skills. PREFERENCES: Four-year construction related degree preferred. Experience estimating large military projects in excess of $50M.
