Job Description:	A growing Civil/Construction Engineering Firm is looking for Construction Project Engineers for their Livonia, Michigan office. The ideal candidates will have 5-15 years of experience in highway and bridge transportation projects. Experience in Michigan Department of Transportation projects is preferable, though not required. The candidates should have a PE (Professional Engineering License) in the State of Michigan, or candidate must obtain it within the year. Out of State Relocation is a possibility for candidates that have exact work experience. The Project Engineer is responsible for directing and managing the work of field inspection staff in accordance with Specifications, Standards and Construction Manuals. Plans and facilitates project meetings, makes recommendations for change order negotiation and preparation, assists the Project Manager in the preparation of monthly progress reports to client, review of construction schedule, and in maintaining project records and files. Conducts technical review for approval and processing of work plans and other submittals created by the construction contractor, and oversees/coordinates sub consultants activities. Works in a collaborative manner with the Project Manager, contractor and design engineer; in facilitating the submittal, design review and construction of the various elements of the project.
