Job Description:	Macy's Logistics & Operations has a great opportunity for a Director of Maintenance & Engineering , for their Distribution Center in Secaucus New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of proprietary systems and programs including PM programs, sortation and scanning systems including those of Lafayette and Accusort. Key Accountabilities: * Maintain multiple buildings and equipment in optimal, safe running condition at the lowest possible cost. * Supervise engineering staff. * Develop cost effective maintenance, energy consumption, and operational improvements of facility and equipment. * Develop predictive maintenance programs. * Purchase equipment, parts and contracted services. * Work with outside regulatory agencies and consultants as needed. * Provide estimates of cost for major repairs and capital improvements. * Prepare scope documents and solicit proposals for repair and construction services from third party service providers. * Budget Planning and management. * Develop innovative cost effective ideas for improvement to existing material handling systems and create optimal product flow. * Energy Management. * Any other responsibilities management deems essential. Responsible for leading and providing direction to a team of hourly associates. * Flexible, team player, willing to work extra hours and Saturdays.
