Job Description:	Universal Safety Response, Inc., a Smith & Wesson Company, located in Franklin, Tennessee is a turnkey provider and leader in access control, outdoor perimeter security integration and physical security solutions. Our company is growing rapidly and has an immediate need for an Estimator. The Estimator coordinates closely with sales account managers and project managers in predicting the cost of work that occurs in the field and within the company. This position reports to the company's Estimating Manager. As an Estimator you will be responsible for: * Quanity survey of the work * Unit pricing of the work * General conditions cost managing the work * Application of the overhead (office cost) Other duties include: * Assisting the Account Manager and the Estimation Manager in setting the profit for a project * Setting the proposal language or terms and conditions for building a project * Assisting the Project Manager in the initial sequencing of construction activities by outlining components such as labor, materials, and equipment * Ensuring a productive work environment between projects managers, other team members and the Estimator * Supporting field operations in ways which reduce the company's risk of loss and/or promoting opportunity where possible gain lies * Interact with field team members to verify effective techniques at the time of a bid * Develop the cost information needed to determine if a proposed product with be profitable, or to make a bid for a contract * Determine which projects are currently making an adequate profit * Analyze and compile data on each factor that may have an influence on costs, including: labor, materials, special machinery requirements, and location * Maintain a proper balance between the company's profitability and total customer satisfaction * Organize workflow to meet client deadlines * Other duties as assigned Qualifications: * Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Construction, or related field * 1-2 years of experience in Estimating Universal Safety Reponse Inc. offers competitive compensation and benefits.
