Job Description:	M & W Construction Corporation is seeking a Construction Superintendent to start immediately. We are looking for a successful individual to manage site utility / sewer pipe construction projects. QUALIFICATIONS WILL INCLUDE: · Experience constructing water & sewer pipe lines in the field (minimum of 15 years). · Experience with waste water bypass pumping & ground water dewatering systems. · Must be able to accurately read and interpret plans, specifications, engineering reports, and schedules. · Post high school education is a plus. · Ability to identify problems, troubleshoot and communicate with the Project Management team. · Must be able to stand on rough terrain for extended periods, climb up and down ladders and stairways, bend/stoop to inspect processes or materials and have valid driver’s license. · Detail oriented and organized. · Must be able to effectively communicate with a variety of individuals involved in the construction process including owners, engineers, subcontractors and field workforce. · Current OSHA trenching & safety certificates required. Virginia certified land disturber permit desired. 10 OSHA, component person for excavation, and confined space entry training preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: · Schedule & coordinate project activities to safely deliver a profitable project. · Communicate at all times with the Project Management team. · Develop business relationships with sub-contractors and coordinate their work. · Manage on-site construction projects & supervise on-site personnel. · Handle on-site paperwork for project including project log book, daily work reports and delivery packing slips. · Attend progress meetings. · Develop respectful relationships with on-site inspectors, owners and engineers. · Prepare purchasing paperwork and delivery schedules for field materials. · Getting proper construction and right-away permits. · Prepare two week look ahead schedules and develop work plans to maintain the schedule.
