Job Description:	Mt. Poso Cogeneration Company has an immediate opening for an experienced Maintenance Manager. Mt. Poso Cogeneration Plant is a coal fired electric generation plant located near Bakersfield CA. The plant is currently undergoing a conversion that will allow for continued operation as a Biomass power plant under a recently signed Power Purchase Contract with the local Utility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Maintenance Management, responsible for managing the multimillion dollar maintenance operations of a complex electric power plant. Candidate should have strong management skills, knowledge of contact management; computer based maintenance management systems, and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project. Applicant should have a minimum of an associate’s degree and 5 years of increasing responsible management experience. Pre-employment physicals and drug screen required. This is a salary position offering an excellent wage and benefits.
Company Description:	Since 1989 the Mt. Poso Cogeneration Plant has provided electrical power to help meet the growing needs of California as well as supplying steam to thermally enhance the oil recovery in a nearby oil field. During that nearly 20 years of operation the plant has consistently generated enough electricity to power over 35,000 homes, twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, three hundred sixty five days a year. Now, as California leads the way in replacing fossil fueled generating facilities with ones powered by clean renewable energy sources, Mt. Poso Cogeneration Company is poised to join that renewable portfolio. Mt. Poso Cogeneration Company will be the first cogeneration conversion from fossil fuel to renewable biomass and will continue to provide California clean renewable energy for the next 20 years.
