Job Description:	Job Description This position is both administrative and technical work in the Construction Engineering and Inspection field of Civil Engineering. Candidates for this position will be responsible for supervision of all employees assigned to a specific CE&I project. Candidate will need to ensure that the project is built in accordance with project plans and specifications under which the contract was awarded. The candidate selected for this position will report directly to the District/Division/City/County Engineer’s designated representative. The candidate shall have experience with roadway and/or bridge construction inspection. Preferred Skills: One or more of the following certifications: * Certified Asphalt Technician Level I – (Field Tester) * Certified Level II – Quality Management Technician * Certified Asphalt Roadway Technician * Work Zone Safety certification * Certified Concrete Technician (ACE and ALDOT Certifications) * Radiological Safety Course Certifications * Qualified Credential Inspector (QCI) * Experience with DOT roadway projects is a plus. Some roadway design experience using MicrStation, Inroads and/or GeoPak preferred. Basic Qualifications * 10 years of experience in construction inspections, surveying or highway materials testing and inspection; OR * Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering; OR * Registered Professional Engineer with five years of experience in construction inspection, surveying or highway materials testing and inspection.
