Job Description:	POSITION OBJECTIVE: This position will assist Vice President of Construction Services, Director of Construction, Construction Managers, and Store Facilities in the scheduling and handling of all special construction department projects. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Qualified candidates must possess the ability to: 1. Communicate with supervisor, Store Operations, and store staff on scheduling and scope of work 2. Instruct and schedule the general contractors from start to finish of every project 3. Negotiate and qualify general contractor’s proposals 4. Review all steps of supervisor 5. Travel to project turnovers to perform punch list inspections of the completed construction 6. Remain on site at turnovers to supervise and assist in the completion of punch list work and to allow for a smooth transition from construction to store operations 7. Remain on site to assist the staff of the store with the merchandising process when requested or required 8. Communicate progress to the Construction Manager and report any issues that arise 9. Ability to read and interpret construction documents 2. Thorough knowledge of construction 3. Ability to understand and prepare budgets 4. Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook 5. Ability to travel on short notice and be away for several days at a time 6. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal 7. Strong organizational skills 8. Motivated self-starter, able to function in a fast-paced multi-task environment 9. Ability to work well in a team 10. The ability to create fresh ideas and new programs
