Job Description:	Job Description Reports to the faculty member in charge and to the New Jersey Agricultural experiment Station's (NJAES) Director of Economic Development. Assesses engineering and other scientific/technological incubation needs based on companies' bio-resource technologies; determines incubator candidates; actively recruits bio-energy businesses as clients to utilize the technology incubator's facilities and programs; and provides strategy, business development, production, and marketing expertise. Manages the tenant entry process including coordination of subleasing, insurance, permitting, facility renovations, and compliance with university requirements. Counsels clients in the preparation of business plans, marketing, production, and distribution strategies. Provides metrics, forecasting, and reporting. Also contributes to plans for the growth and sustainability of the Eco-complex organization; improves the quality of existing programs; and develops new business, demonstration, education, and outreach opportunities. Forges alliances; develops grant, contract, and other external funding opportunities, and assists in the preparation of grant proposals for the Eco-complex and its clients. Provides work direction, training, and/ or technical assistance to employees as needed. Job Requirements Requires a bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or environmental engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience, plus a minimum of five years engineering design or engineering services experience that includes product/project management, conducting feasibility studies, developing business plans, analyzing pricing, marketing, financing, distribution, and commercialization of bio-energy products and services. Requires demonstrated ability to analyze new technologies related to alternative energy and environmental technologies and develop comprehensive business plans, feasibility analyses, marketing strategies, and distribution systems for clients. Also requires excellent coordination, facilitation, organization, presentation, interpersonal, consulting, persuasion, communication, analytical, and report-writing skills; the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; and demonstrated success as a team member, leader, and individual contributor; a current valid driver's license; and computer literacy. A state professional engineering license, MBA, and/or ten years relevant experience are preferred.
