Job Description:	Fire Protection Estimator with Design & Project Management experience needed for mid-size commercial Mechanical Contractor in Charlotte, NC area. Minimum 5 years commercial construction experience required and continuous employment a must. Must possess superior communication skills, computer skills, CAD experience and the ability to read and understand complex commercial plans and specifications. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assist Fire Protection Department Manager with project estimates and takeoffs * Efficiently and productively perform takeoffs and calculate estimates within bidding guidelines * Assist Fire Protection Design department with CAD requirements, if necessary (NICET Level III certification a plus) * Assist Fire Protection Department Manager with project management responsibilities including but not limited to jobsite meeting attendance, project correspondence, etc. * Workweek consisting of 5 days a week (Monday-Friday) averaging 50 hours a week REQUIREMENTS: * Minimum of 5 plus years commercial construction experience a must * Detailed field application knowledge of commercial fire protection systems * Stable job history * Must possess good communication skills * Computer skills needed * Ability to read and understand complex commercial plans and specifications * AutoCAD experience a plus * Driver's license required * Reliable transportation to and from work
