Job Description: Kaiser Permanente is looking for a Controller, National Facilities Services in Oakland, California, for the nation’s leading nonprofit integrated health plan and a recognized health advocate.

National Facilities Services (NFS) provides facilities services in the areas of Building Design & Construction, Capital Projects Delivery, Facilities Maintenance & Operations, Real Estate, Biomedical Engineering and Security to allow Kaiser Permanente to achieve its aspirations of leadership in affordable, integrated healthcare. By achieving cost, process and value improvements in facilities services, NFS will enhance Kaiser Permanente's value proposition while meeting the needs of our members and staff.

The Controller of NFS is a key financial executive responsible for providing leadership in: establishing and maintaining strong internal controls; continuing SOX compliance, monitoring and sustainability within NFS; assuring integrity of NFS databases; and publication of NFS financial reports. The incumbent is the most senior NFS functional leader with expertise in these areas. The NFS controller has broad authority to ensure the implementation and adherence to Program and NFS financial policies and controls. To achieve objectives the incumbent plays a key role in coordination with: regional Medical Group partners, Program Compliance Department personnel, regional operational departments, SOX PMO personnel, other Program Offices personnel, Shared Services personnel, and all controllers within the Program.

Requirements
1. Five to seven years of comprehensive experience in financial management. Public accounting or internal audit experience preferred. 2. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. CPA, CMA, CIA or MBA preferred. 3. Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and state and regulatory accounting and reporting requirements, including knowledge of NAIC accounting requirements. 4. Experience with cost management, financial analysis, and budgeting techniques, and major financial software systems. Significant involvement in major system implementations as user preferred. 5. Strong communication, presentation, and staff development skills. 6. Facility with matrix management techniques. Successful experience in achieving results through people in a complex organization.
