Job Description: The Facilities Management department has an immediate opening for a Construction Manager, reporting to the Assistant Vice President of this group. In this highly technical and interactive role, you will manage and coordinate a multidiscipline team responsible for the Bank’s internal renovation projects as well as oversee various aspects of design and construction phases including architectural review, contractor and subcontractor selection and management, employee resource allocation, quality control, project budget and schedule. This person leads or directs the work of others including the internal construction group, millwork group, HVAC group, and trade contractors. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected and you will perform a variety of tasks, including technical duties ranging from determining facility design needs and reviewing detailed technical drawings to monitoring and coordinating construction projects.

Additional Responsibilities
· Prepare project management documentation including project charters, schedules, budgets, work breakdown structures and status reports. Lead project meetings and communicates broadly to all project stakeholders including Bank's upper management, outside contractors, vendors and internal staff
· Manage internal Bank staff consisting of construction, millwork and HVAC trades. Responsible for employee selection, work assignments, training, discipline and evaluation; directs and evaluates journeyman work among the construction trades. Coordinate with other Facilities Management areas such as electrical, furniture installers, space planning and mechanics to assist in completing projects
· Develop project management plans, cost estimates and schedules for new construction, renovations and maintenance projects; coordinates with Procurement in preparing and issuing RFPs for repairs, alterations, installations, and construction projects for all Bank departments and building tenants
· Recommend contract awards after analyzing proposals and cost estimates submitted by outside contractors. Ensure conformance to plans, specifications, and cost estimates through coordinating, directing, and inspecting contract work.
· Provide technical assistance on operation and maintenance of building systems. Recommend actions on energy conservation. Keep abreast of construction industry practices and new trends and developments

Requirements/Education/Technical Competencies
· High school diploma (required)
· Some college/technical school (strongly preferred)
· 3-5 years supervisory or foreman experience in building construction (required)
· Proven familiarity with project management discipline within the construction industry (required)
· Professional, collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong relationship management skills with clients and vendors (required)
· Good writing skills and problem solving abilities (required)
· Experience in reading, analyzing and interpreting engineering drawings, technical manuals, and journals and an established understanding of local and regional building codes (required)
· Ability to facilitate a collaborative decision-making process, coach and develop team members, and provide feedback (required)
· Ability to think strategically and evaluate situations relative to multiple priorities and influencing factors and apply sound judgment in evaluating and solving problems (required)
· Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, preparing cost estimates and budgets a plus
· Knowledge of current trends and development in the facilities and construction fields (required)
· Proficient in use of personal computers including Microsoft Word and Excel, e-mail (strongly preferred)
· Subject to work extended hours on short notice to address problems and/or respond to emergency conditions. Ability to meet a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. On call 24/7/365 (except vacation) to respond to facility related issues as necessary (required)
· Ability to report to work during inclement weather and under emergency conditions (required)
· Must be able to pass a physical examination by Bank-designated licensed personnel (required)
