Job Description:	A qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or 7-10 years experience in the A/E/C industry. Requires a motivated self-starter with excellent organization and communication skills who is proficient in AutoCAD. Familiarity with Department of Commerce code, uniform building codes, and ASHRAE standards a plus. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Elite and/or Trane load programs also a plus. Ability to obtain multi-state PE registration is desired. Must be able to: • Design and layout engineering drawings within HVAC specialty • Design HVAC systems including steam, hot water, warm air heating, chilled water and DX cooling • Designs, selects, schedules, sizes and specifies basic HVAC system components to include air terminals, air distribution, air handling, refrigeration, piping, ductwork and accessories • Knowledgeable in consulting and construction practices to include plan/specifications, design/build and construction manager roles and responsibilities • Specifies portions of the engineering system from manufacturer’s data and works to avoid the expense of inventing new designs • Understands and applies state and local and model codes as related to buildings and HVAC design • Works to meet design schedules and complete tasks on budget • Works collaboratively in a team environment
