Job Description:	The primary duties of the Construction Services Group Manager will include responsibility for overall management, leadership and guidance of the Minnesota HDR Construction Control Corporation Department. These duties include, but are not necessarily limited to: 1.Provide leadership of technical capabilities within the group. 2.Facilitate assignment of qualified, experienced staff to projects including effective use of work-sharing and staff utilization. 3.Participate in the development of Department annual budget. 4.Monitor the Department financial performance and implement plans to achieve defined goals. 5.Develop proposals, review contract and negotiate fees on behalf of HDR. 6.Provide strategic planning and tactical input for the Department. 7.Facilitate Department teamwork, communication and work-sharing between other Departments, offices, business classes, etc. within HDR. 8.Monitor Department direction, profitability, adherence to policies and practices, QA/QC. Program, safety program, technical tools, project staffing and resource to work load allocation. 9.Serve as client manager, project principal and/or project manager for high priority clients/projects as required. 10.Build area technical expertise and production capacity through staff recruitment, retention and training. 11.Participate and engage technical experts in support of client development and project pursuits. 12.Ability to assist in the development of written technical proposals, client presentations or other marketing deliverables. 13.Participate and encourage staff involvement in industry organizations and functions including presentations and publications. 14.Facilitate lessons learned for project delivery, processes, trends, successes, strengths and weaknesses. 15.Work with Project Mangers to monitor project performance Requirements Bachelors degree in engineering and a Minnesota professional engineering (PE) registration (or the ability to obtain a Minnesota PE by comity) with related technical experience is required. Experienced in the development and management of diverse teams. Experience with contracts of $0.5 M and above. Ability to works cooperatively with other group managers, business class leaders, Department Managers, technical directors, accounting personnel and marketing managers on Department efforts. Committed to safety, quality, improvement and HDR values. Ten + years of experience in various aspects of construction administration and management. Must have strong people skills and the ability to interact with the client and construction field staff. Experience with software such as CPM scheduling software (Primavera P3, SureTrak, etc.) and document control software (Expedition, Prolog Manager, etc.) preferred.
